Originally, absinthe was invented in Switzerland in the canton of Neuchâtel. Here you will also find most distilleries. Also in the adjacent part of France absinthe is fired. A special highlight from Austria is the “ALPSINTH”, an Alpine version of the traditional absinthe, which is produced in Vorarlberg.
